# Academy of Smart Lawyers — superexam.uk

> The Academy of Smart Lawyers (trading as Superexam) is a specialist SQE training provider based in the UK. We help aspiring solicitors pass the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE1 and SQE2) through our proprietary OSCEsmart methodology, developed by solicitors who qualified via the SQE and its predecessor QLTS. We have supported 330+ candidates since 2018 and have a 90.66% pass rate on SQE2 mock assessments.

## What is the SQE?

The Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) is the centralised assessment introduced by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) in September 2021. It replaced the LPC and QLTS as the route to qualifying as a solicitor in England and Wales. The SQE has two stages:

- SQE1: Two written papers (FLK1 and FLK2), each with 180 single-best-answer multiple-choice questions, testing Functioning Legal Knowledge across all core areas of English law.
- SQE2: Five practical skills assessments — client interview and attendance note, advocacy, legal research, legal writing, and legal drafting — delivered through role-plays and written tasks.

Candidates must also complete two years of Qualifying Work Experience (QWE) before being admitted to the Roll of Solicitors.
