💡 LEGAL RESEARCH SQE2 1-1 MOCKS — How Our Mocks Work
🔴 DEFINITION: Legal Research is a written SQE2 assessment, examined across all SQE2 areas of practice.
It has an unusual format: instead of access to standard legal databases, candidates are provided with a large document bundle, which may include older legal texts, case law, commentary, and primary and secondary sources.
The task is to identify the relevant sources and provide clear, comprehensive legal advice in the form of an email. A traditional record sheet is not required. It is not a traditional research record sheet.
DELIVERY FORMAT:
The mock is delivered via the SUPERexam platform. You may book in advance, with multiple time slots-periods available.
You have approximately one week from the start of the booked slots-period to access the materials and submit your advisory email. You are required to review the document bundle, identify relevant legal sources, and draft a clear advisory email.
Written feedback is provided after assessment, within one week, but we usually do it faster. Feedback focuses on legal accuracy, source selection, structure, and exam technique.
SQE2 Legal Research is one of the assessments where candidates often underperform due to its unusual format, demanding exam conditions, and lack of targeted training.
