This questionnaire is designed to gather essential information for evaluating your qualifications for exemption purposes. Please note, it is very rare for the SRA to grant exemptions from SQE1; however, it is possible to obtain an exemption from SQE2, if you are either:

1️⃣ Qualified in Certain Jurisdictions – You may benefit from an Agreed SQE2 Exemption if your jurisdiction is listed by the SRA.

2️⃣ Two Years of Legal Experience – You may apply for an Individual SQE2 Exemption if you are a qualified lawyer with at least two years of relevant legal work experience that can be evidenced.

3️⃣ First-Time SQE2 Candidate – You must not have attempted the SQE2 exam before, as prior attempts disqualify you from applying for any exemption.

For SQE1, you should demonstrate that you have studied all the SQE subjects and passed the respective law exams (simplified).
