Why Book a Diagnostic SQE2 Mock?

Before you sit — or resit — the SQE2, it’s crucial to know exactly where you stand. Our diagnostic mock is tailored to help you prepare smarter and avoid unnecessary risks. Here’s how it can help:

01

Are you ready to book the SQE2?

If you haven’t yet booked your exam, the diagnostic mock will test your readiness under realistic conditions. You’ll discover:

  • Whether your knowledge and skills meet the required standard
  • Which areas need further work before you book
  • How it feels to perform under exam-like pressure
02

Is your SQE2 exam coming up soon?

If you’ve already booked and your exam date is approaching, the diagnostic mock is the perfect last-minute practice. It allows you to:

  • Practise your timing and strategy in real exam scenarios
  • Receive corrective feedback from qualified solicitors who have passed the exam
  • Build confidence and sharpen your performance right before the big day
03

Did you fail your previous SQE2 attempt?

If you’re resitting the exam, the diagnostic mock helps you pinpoint exactly what went wrong last time, so you can improve. You’ll be able to:

  • Identify weaknesses in law, skills, or exam technique
  • Understand the reasons behind your previous result
  • Create a clear, actionable plan for success on your next attempt

Identify Your Weak Points

One of the most effective ways to prepare for the SQE2 exam is to start with a diagnostic SQE-2 Mock – a simulated practice session that reveals exactly where you stand. Our diagnostic SQE-2 Mock station is designed to mimic the real assessment as closely as possible, offering a realistic experience of the pressure and structure of the exam. You’ll receive expert feedback that helps you pinpoint your strengths and weaknesses, and develop a targeted strategy for improvement.

How to Avoid Common Pitfalls

Take this as a friendly but serious warning: the SRA does not regulate SQE training providers.

That means – literally anyone can become a “provider” by simply writing to the SRA, providing a few details, and being added to a public list. No quality checks, no guarantees of experience, no requirements.

And that is the problem. Many candidates we meet simply don’t know whom they can trust with their SQE2 preparation – especially when it comes to 1-to-1 mocks. They’re relying on providers who have never been in the exam room, who don’t truly understand how the assessment feels under pressure, and who can’t teach you the subtle tactics that make all the difference between pass and fail.

We, however, are different.

We are people who have sat the exam ourselves — and passed. We know exactly what it demands of you, not just in theory but in practice. Many of us also have strong academic backgrounds and years of teaching experience. On top of that, we are practicing solicitors who’ve been deeply involved in SQE (and before that, QLTS) preparation for almost a decade.

In our opinion, while it may be possible for someone without first-hand experience of the exam to help you prepare for SQE1, the same cannot be said for SQE2. Why? Because SQE2 isn’t just about knowing the law – it’s about knowing the exam itself:

  • how to structure a client interview under time pressure

  • how to handle tricky advocacy scenarios

  • how to draft under exam conditions

  • and how to apply the law to facts in real-world scenarios

These are all things you only truly understand if you’ve experienced the exam yourself.

If you’re just starting your SQE2 journey — choose wisely. Choose a provider who has been where you’re about to go, who knows what it takes, and who can guide you through it with honesty, clarity, and real expertise.

Why do you think you failed your first attempt?

As to my first exam, I would say that I was not that well prepared. I even did not have time to do mocks – only a few mocks, as I remember. I only had time for reading the books and not even to revise. So, when it comes to such a serious exam, I think it’s better to take your time, and if you feel that the plan you had to study is not accomplished better not try this time, and try another time.

SQE2 Diagnostic: Advantages for Resitters

You Can Only Be Sure of SQE2 Prep Quality by Trying & Comparing

The market is now flooded with SQE providers, and the SRA lists almost anyone who applies — which makes it essential to make a well-informed decision.

Sales are sales: many providers will say anything to get your money, and they operate from various jurisdictions around the world. But this is your life, not just your money.

Avoid relying on unverified opinions on social media or Reddit. Verify for yourself.

Use our SQE2 Diagnostic Mock to see the quality for yourself and compare it with other providers. Assess the real level of support you’ll receive – don’t rely on hearsay, random comments, or “balabala” on social media. Make your decision based on evidence, experience, and results.

Why Saving on Prep Could Cost You More

If you’ve already sat the SQE2 and unfortunately did not pass — we want you to know you are not alone, and you are in the right place.

We specialise in working with resitters, and over the years we’ve helped hundreds of candidates turn their failure into success.

Here’s what we know:
The main reason why most candidates fail the SQE2 is not because they lack the ability — but because they do not fully understand how to approach this exam.

The SQE2 is not just a test of knowledge. It is a skills-based, scenario-driven exam that requires a particular mindset, structure, and strategy. If you approach it as if it were a written law exam — you’re already at a disadvantage.

Of course, there can also be gaps in legal knowledge, especially if you are an LPC graduate who hasn’t reviewed the relevant law in years. And in some cases, there are skills that genuinely need to be developed — for example, advocacy under pressure, drafting within the allotted time, or managing a client interview professionally while gathering key facts.

But these issues can all be identified and addressed.

We will help you:
✔️ Understand the specific demands of the SQE2 and what the examiners expect
✔️ Diagnose your weaknesses — whether in skills, knowledge, or strategy
✔️ Develop the correct approach for each station type
✔️ Practise realistically, under timed conditions, with qualified tutors and accurate feedback
✔️ Build the confidence to face the exam again and pass

If you’re resitting, the most important thing is not to repeat the same mistakes. Let us help you pinpoint what went wrong — and fix it.

We know what it feels like to sit the SQE2. We’ve done it ourselves. And we’ve helped many others just like you succeed the second time around.

What would you do differently in your first attempt?

I really wish I’d had that guidance the first time I took the exam. I don’t think I would have failed if I’d had that level of support. I started with the most basic package of mocks, but then I upgraded because once I started doing the interviews and practicing with you, I realised: okay, I really do need more practice. I kept going until I felt properly prepared.

It was also really helpful to talk to other solicitors during the advocacy practice. They had been through the assessment and were able to give me advice on where to improve and which areas to focus on. In general, I truly believe your preparation is focused on helping candidates pass the exam. You’re people who’ve been through it yourselves, and you give the best tips and guidance.

If it were up to me, I would have started with your programme from the very beginning. Unfortunately, I didn’t know about it back then, but I’m glad I found it when I did.

Thank you so much. I also believe it makes a big difference for candidates to interact face-to-face with a solicitor — not just someone qualified in England and Wales, but someone who’s actually sat the same exam and understands what’s required.
